Wgtn Free of Plastic Bags

The core team met last week, and our main plans are as follows:

-Borrow a Bag (see elsewhere on this website for full plans) - create a scheme where supermarkets have bins of reusable bags outside the stores - the community donate bags into the bins
-create reusable bags made from old plastic bags
-media coverage of a supermarket trialling Borrow a Bag
-conversations with Greater wellington, Wellington City Council, Ministry for the Environment and the Greens on how to best ban the bag
-contact other regions and countries who have banned the bag and get guidance from them
